Tips For Keeping Your Glasses Safe

Clean Regularly

Use a microfiber cloth to clean your glasses daily, removing any dirt, smudges, or fingerprints. Avoid using harsh materials like paper towels or tissues, as they can scratch the lenses.

Use the Right Solution

Use a mild soap or eyeglass cleaning solution recommended by your optometrist to clean your glasses. Avoid using household cleaners or alcohol-based solutions, as they can damage lens coatings.

Handle with Care

When taking off or putting on your glasses, use both hands to hold the temples (arms) and avoid bending or twisting them. Never place your glasses face down on hard surfaces, as this can scratch the lenses.

Adjust Regularly

Visit your optometrist for regular adjustments to ensure your glasses fit properly and comfortably. Loose or misaligned frames can cause discomfort and affect your vision quality.

Avoid Moisture and Heat

Avoid exposing your glasses to excessive moisture or heat, as this can damage the frames and cause warping or discoloration. Remove your glasses before entering steamy environments like saunas or hot tubs.

Store Properly

When not wearing your glasses, store them in a protective case to prevent scratches, dust, and accidental damage. Avoid leaving them in areas exposed to extreme heat or cold, such as in a car dashboard or near a heater.
