Medicated Contact Lenses

Medicated contact lenses represent a breakthrough in vision correction and eye health, particularly for managing conditions like myopia and hyperopia. These lenses are designed to deliver medication directly to the eye, providing continuous treatment alongside vision correction. This dual functionality not only enhances visual acuity but also supports ongoing eye health. Available in both clear and colored options, medicated contact lenses offer a convenient and effective way to improve vision and maintain ocular health.

Both clear and colored are available.

Cosmetic Contact Lenses

Cosmetic contact lenses offer versatile options for enhancing natural beauty and expressing creativity. Available in various colors, patterns, and designs, these lenses allow wearers to change their eye color or appearance for fashion, special occasions, or theatrical purposes. Crafted with comfort and safety in mind, modern cosmetic lenses ensure breathability and moisture retention for all-day wear, empowering individuals to redefine their look with every blink.

Proper Usage and Care:

Contact lenses correct vision by refracting light properly onto the retina, compensating for refractive errors such as nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), and astigmatism. By sitting directly on the eye’s surface, contact lenses move with the eye, providing clear and consistent vision throughout the day.

Insertion:

  • Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling lenses.
  • Place the lens on the tip of your index finger, making sure it is not inside out (edges should be pointing upward).
  • Use your free hand to hold your eyelids open and look up as you gently place the lens on the center of your eye.

Removal:

  • Wash hands again before removing lenses.
  • Look up and pull down your lower eyelid with your middle finger.
  • Use your index finger to gently touch the lower edge of the lens and slide it down to the white part of your eye. Pinch the lens gently between your thumb and index finger and remove it.

Wearing Schedule and Replacement:

  • Adhere to the wearing schedule prescribed by your eye care professional, whether it’s daily wear, extended wear, or disposable lenses.
  • Replace lenses according to the recommended schedule to maintain optimal eye health and vision correction.
  • Avoid wearing lenses beyond their recommended lifespan, even if they appear undamaged.

Cleaning:

  • Rinse lenses with recommended solution to remove debris and protein buildup.
  • Rub each lens gently with the solution in the palm of your hand for about 20 seconds.
  • Rinse again with solution to ensure all debris is removed.
  • Store lenses in a clean case filled with fresh solution, ensuring they are fully submerged.

Safety Precautions and Risks:

Potential Risks

Eye infections, corneal abrasions, and discomfort are possible risks of contact lens wear.

Promptly seek medical attention for symptoms like redness, pain, or vision changes.

Minimizing Risks:

Avoid wearing lenses while swimming or sleeping to prevent infection or injury.

Practice good hygiene: Wash hands before handling lenses, avoid touching lenses with fingernails, and clean lenses as directed.

Don’t share lenses with others to reduce the risk of contamination and infection.

Regular eye exams and fittings help monitor eye health and ensure proper fit and prescription.
